Straight to Ale Tap Takeover Wednesday, October 23rd

21 October 2013 No Comment

Join us at the pub on Wednesday, October 23rd when we host Dan Perry of Straight to Ale for a tap takeover featuring two incredibly rare, barrel-aged offerings from his brewery!

We are always delighted to have Dan Perry in the house because let’s face it, he’s just a heck of a good guy.  It also does not hurt that he and the rest of the folks at Straight to Ale are making some world-class beers right here in the great state of Alabama, and he typically shows up bearing tasty treats in keg form.  This event follows that trend as Dan will be bringing eight Straight to Ale offerings on Wednesday!  If that alone gets you excited, you may want to sit down because two of those will be barrel-aged versions of the wildly popular Laika Russian Imperial Stout.  Not only will we be pouring the Bourbon Barrel-Aged Laika that recently saw a limited release in kegs and bottles, but we will also have the incredibly hard to find Cabernet Barrel-Aged Laika!  These two beers are very limited in supply, and this event will give you the rare opportunity to try them side by side.

As for the other six beers rounding out this tap takeover, they bring the awesome as well:

  • Brother Joseph’s Belgian Dubbel
  • Hell or Rye Water Rye Pale Ale
  • Hellfire Quadrupel
  • Lily Flagg Milk Stout
  • Monkeynaut IPA
  • Olde Towne Pumpkin Ale
Throughout the event, we will be featuring $10 Straight to Ale flights as a responsible way to sample these great brews.  While you work your way through this fantastic tap list, Dan will be hanging out to discuss with you the beer in your hand and all the great things going on at his brewery in Huntsville.  Word is that he might have some schwag to give away as well!
So, what’s the count?  Straight to Ale, Dan Perry, rare beer, cheap flights and free schwag . . . not too shabby.  Just go ahead and mark it on the calendar and we’ll see you all on Wednesday!
