That’s right; we are mixing things up a bit on Monday by delving headlong into the world of ciders with the good folks of Sonoma Cider.  VP of National Sales and Founder Fred Einstein, VP of Eastern Sales James Williams and VP of Midwestern Sales Jill Bingenheiner will all be on hand at this special event to properly introduce us to their incredible lineup of craft ciders.  If you are new to Sonoma Cider offerings, you are in for a real treat because they take the passionate approach of doing whatever it takes to create complex, flavorful, and amazing ciders.  To provide you with a well-rounded experience, the following four offerings will be pouring at this event:

  • The Anvil Bourbon Cider – A healthy measure of our proprietary barrel-proof bourbon flavor. Offers a clean, lively, aromatic presence with a layered smoky finish. It’s truly integrated and rounded, and vitally distinct.
  • The Hatchet Apple Cider – A unique blend of U.S grown organic apples handcrafted to bring out fresh, ripe apple aromas and complex fruit flavors. The Hatchet carefully pairs sweet and tart varietals to ideal effect.
  • The Pitchfork Pear Cider – We approached pear cider cautiously, as many are cloyingly sweet and unworthy of the Sonoma Cider name. An apple connoisseur’s pear cider, greeting you with the distinct aromas of both fruits. It has a crisp start, fresh play of flavors, and a creamy pear finish.
  • The Hatchet Apple Cider through the Randall with cinnamon sticks

The four offerings listed above will be featured in a special flight throughout the evening, and everyone who orders that flight will receive the glass pictured above to take home (while supplies last).  For the more adventurous cider fans in attendance, we will also be using these tasty ciders to create craft cocktails such as Apple Collins, Apple Fashioned, Irish Cider and Velvet d’Apple.  Come for the flight and free glass, and hang around for dinner and a playful jaunt into the realm of cider cocktails.

We hope that you all can make it out to pub on Monday to give Sonoma Cider a hearty Birmingham welcome.  This is sure to be an evening filled with good times and the best of company, so just go ahead and mark those calendars today to ensure that you do not miss out on the fun.  See you all then!
