Ronald McDonald House Charity Beer Dinner at Regions Field
On Thursday, July 25th at 7 p.m., ten Birmingham Originals restaurants will team up with all five Birmingham breweries to hold a beer dinner of epic proportions to benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama. Oh . . . and you get to enjoy it during a Birmingham Barons game at Regions Field!
Whenever our great restaurants and breweries in Birmingham get together for an event of this magnitude, you know that The J. Clyde is going to get behind it and support it. This dinner is just so unique and special that we have to make sure our great friends and patrons are in the know on this one. This extraordinary beer dinner will consist of ten signature dishes, each prepared by one of the following members of the Birmingham Originals restaurant group: Billy’s Sports Grill, The Bright Star, Century Restaurant & Bar, Chez Lulu, dg, Hot and Hot Fish Club, John’s City Diner, Ocean, Satterfield’s Restaurant, and Silvertron Café. Prepared by some of the best restaurants Birmingham has to offer, these gourmet dishes will be expertly paired with nothing but the best craft beer produced in the city. Avondale Brewing Company, Beer Engineers, Cahaba Brewing Company, Good People Brewing Company, and Trim Tab Brewing Company will all be on hand to provide diners with the perfect beer to accompany and accentuate the dish in front of them. To top it all off, all of this will be served up in the electric atmosphere that only the Birmingham Barons can provide in their beautiful new home at Regions Field. Courses will be introduced before innings 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 to allow each chef and brewmaster the opportunity to talk about their respective pairings between bats.
Through this dinner, all of these fantastic businesses have come together in an effort to raise funds and awareness for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama (RMHCA). Over the past 34 years, RMHCA has been committed to enhancing the lives of children and their families, with a primary emphasis on facilitating access to pediatric health care for residents of Alabama and adjacent states. RMHCA provides a safe, affordable, supportive “home-away-from-home” for sick or injured children and their families when they travel to Birmingham for medical treatment and a place to rest and re-group while only steps from their sick child’s bedside at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. By staying true to their mission, RMHCA has supported and changed the lives of over 35,000 families.
Tickets for this event are $75 per person, and that price covers the cost of the dinner and admission to the game. You can purchase your tickets at one of the five participating breweries mentioned above. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to benefit our local Ronald McDonald House Charities.
We may not be directly involved in this beer dinner as a participating restaurant, but we will definitely be in attendance to support this amazing event, the incredibly worthy cause, and the restaurants and breweries involved. Believe us when we say that we do not want you to miss what could be one of the year’s best beer events in Birmingham, so make sure to arrange your tickets today. See you at the ballpark!
