Remembering the Beer Hunter!
Well, tomorrow’s the day. First and last opportunity to try Bell’s Batch 9000 on draught in Alabama! @ The J. Clyde! A beer so rare, I’ve mistakenly told a few folks it’s a Russian Imperial Stout based on a story I had read about the impending brew. It’s hard to forget that first introduction no matter how wrong it might be. Anyway, that adds to the legend of this monster beer – not sure what it really is until you try it!
BeerAdvocate lists this beer under American Strong Ale. Brewed with molasses and brewer’s licorice, this beer definitely sounds so rich and delicious. I’ve heard it’s remarkable and will be even better aged a few years. Here’s hoping you were able to pick up a few bottles when it went on sale in February – bottles sold out in ONE day in Alabama!
This event kicks off at 3pm Saturday, 27 March and ends at 6pm. The Batch 9000 will surely be gone by the end of the night and only 100 folks will have the opportunity to buy it. Three other magnificent beers will be available as well. As a matter of fact, this will be the first time any of these have been served in Alabama.
All of these beers will be priced at $6 for the day if you buy an advance ticket for $20. If you do not buy an advance ticket, you must wait until after 6pm and risk not being able to try any.
