Red, White & Brews in Five Points South, July 3 & 4
You are cordially invited to join us and our neighbors in Five Points South on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th to celebrate Independence Day and Good People Brewing Company’s anniversary at the 3rd Annual Red, White & Brews!
What could possibly be better than celebrating America and the seventh birthday of Good People Brewing Company? How about being able to do both at the same time and in the same location? Red, White & Brews in Five Points South has returned for its third year to do just that with the following two day event schedule:
Friday, July 3rd at 6 p.m. until late – Grub Crawl
Get a jump on your Independence Day celebration by joining the folks at Good People Brewing Company for a Grub Crawl through the Five Points South neighborhood! While you enjoy food and Good People drink specials at participating Five Points eateries and bars, you will also be able to pick up a ticket at each location for a chance to win birthday gift giveaways from Good People and the participating merchant (8 chances to win in total)! Here’s the full timeline and location list for the 2015 Red, White & Brews Grub Crawl:
- 6 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. – Black Market
- 6:50 p.m. to 7:35 p.m. – Fuego Cantina
- 7:40 p.m. to 8:25 p.m. – World of Beer

You can either join the group for the crawl or visit each location at your own pace. Just keep in mind that the gift giveaways will take place at each location during the group’s scheduled stop.
The J. Clyde’s Grub Crawl Food & Drink Specials (available both Friday and Saturday):
- Freedom Dogs – Bratwurst poached in Stout, topped with housemade guacamole, tobacco onions, and Snake Handler DIPA mustard. Served with a side of fresh vegetable penne salad
- $4 – Good People Brewing Company Pale Ale
Saturday, July 4th – Thunder on the Mountain Fireworks Experience
Venture back out to the pub on the Fourth of July to have dinner and drinks with us, and then hang around to enjoy one of the largest and most extravagant Independence Day traditions in the state of Alabama! Thunder on the Mountain 2015 will kick off at 9 p.m. and light up the Birmingham sky for approximately 20 minutes! You can either enjoy the display from here in Five Points or you can head up to Vulcan for the full experience that is choreographed to a musical soundtrack. You cannot go wrong either way; just make sure that you do not miss out on one of our city’s greatest traditions!
Well, that about covers it, but make sure to check back for updates on our food and drink specials during Red, White & Brews! This is easily one of the most outstanding events that the Five Points neighborhood gets to participate in each year, but it is nothing without all of your smiling faces! Get your friends and family together for this weekend of good times, and we will see you all then!
