Oskar Blues Ten FIDY and G'Knight launch event on August 29

We hope that you all can join us at the pub on Wednesday, August 29 at 6 p.m. when Oskar Blues Brewery will officially launch their G’Knight Imperial Red and Ten FIDY Imperial Stout in the great state of Alabama.

Not too long ago, the great folks at Oskar Blues finally made it home and began selling their beers in Alabama.  Although they brought us several new offerings, a few of their larger beers were nowhere to be seen.  Well, the wait is over for a couple of these beers as G’Knight and Ten FIDY are now ready for us.  This will be the first time each of these beers will be officially available in state, and we could not be more humbled and excited to be a part of their launch.  Here are the details and brewery descriptions for both of these beers:

  • G’Knight Imperial Red – “Our ‘Velvet M-80’ is a hefty, dry hopped double-red ale with a nose full of aroma, a sticky mouthfeel, a malty middle and unctuous hop flavors. G’Knight sports a surprisingly sensuous finish for a beer of its size (8.7% ABV, 60 IBUs). It’s brewed in tribute to a fellow Colorado craft beer pioneer and Vietnam vet who died fighting a 2002 wild fire outside of our Lyons hometown.”
  • Ten FIDY Imperial Stout – “This titanic, immensely viscous stout is loaded with inimitable flavors of chocolate-covered caramel and coffee and hide a hefty 98 IBUs underneath the smooth blanket of malt.  Ten FIDY (10.5% ABV) is made with enormous amounts of two-row malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, flaked oats and hops. Ten FIDY is the ultimate celebration of dark malts and boundary-stretching beer.”

In addition to the two launch beers above, we will be pouring their classic Dale’s Pale Ale and Old Chub Scotch Ale as well.  If the beer alone is not enticing enough, there will also be swag giveaways throughout the event and we will have a brewery representative on site for a meet and greet to discuss with you these beers and all of the awesomeness that is Oskar Blues.

This event has all the ingredients for a good time, so come down to the pub on August 29 and be one of the first folks in town to try these two award winning brews!
