New Year's Eve Dinner and Party

We hope that you all can join us on December 31 as we ring in the New Year with an amazing party featuring a special dinner menu, live music, and a champagne toast at midnight!

Throughout the evening on New Year’s Eve we will be featuring a special prix fixe, three course menu.  You will have the option to enjoy the meal on its own or as a full blown beer dinner featuring a reception beer and quite a few delicious treats (full menu available below).  Cost of the dinner alone is $20.13 per person, and the dinner with beer pairings is $35.13 per person before tax and gratuity.  Since there is no set time for the dinner, you will be able to enjoy this beautiful meal at your convenience and in accordance to your New Year’s plans.  With that said, reservations are required so we know when to expect you.  You can arrange yours by calling 205.939.1312, emailing us at info@jclyde.com, or by simply letting your server or bartender know the next time you are at the pub.

Worry not; the party at The J. Clyde does not end once you finish your meal.  Roosevelt Franklin will be setting the mood with awesome, local music from 8 p.m. until 2013.  A champagne toast (included with the $8 cover) will be provided at midnight to ensure you welcome the New Year in classic fashion.  Finally, to make sure you beautiful people all get home safely from an amazing night out, we will be featuring a Safe Ride Home where Yellow Cab will cover your cab fare up to $25.  When you combine all of this with our fantastic selections of craft beer, wine and mixed drinks, it becomes clear that we have all the makings for a safe and enjoyable New Year’s Eve for you and your friends.

We hope that you all can join us this New Year’s Eve because we cannot think of a better group of folks to make our first memory of 2013 with than those that make every day a joy at the pub.  If we do not happen to see you that night, we wish you all a happy New Year from our family to yours!

Peasant Mushroom Soup

Earthy mushroom soup garnished with cream and fresh thyme.

Beer Pairing:  Couples share a bomber of Terrapin Beer Company’s Double Feature Belgian Dubbel, those dining alone will enjoy Avondale Brewing Company’s Brown Ale.

 

Second Course

Choice of:

Filet Oscar

Petite filet topped with fresh Gulf lump crab meat served with sautéed asparagus and Hollandaise sauce.

Beer Pairing:  Good People Brewing Company Brown Ale

or

Portobello Oscar

Braised Portobello with fresh Gulf lump crab meat served with sautéed asparagus and Hollandaise sauce.

Beer Pairing:  Liquidambar from Cahaba Brewing Company

 

Third Course

Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee

Classic crème brulee flavored with Bourbon Madagascar vanilla beans topped with a thin candy shell.

Beer Pairing: choice of Founders Brewing Company’s KBS or Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout from North Coast Brewing Company
