Meet and Greet with Tommyknocker Brewery and Beer Engineers on Wednesday, June 6
In honor of Alabama Beer Week, we will be hosting Tommyknocker Brewery and Beer Engineers for a meet and greet on Wednesday, June 6th.
Tommyknocker Brewery of Idaho Springs, Colorado was one of the most eager craft breweries in the country to get involved in Alabama beer culture when the ABV cap was lifted in 2009, so we are always happy to welcome them back to the Clyde when they come into town for a visit. For this event, we will be pouring the following Tommyknocker brews:
- Imperial Nut Brown Ale
- Jack Whacker Wheat Ale
- Pick Axe IPA
- Nice Saison
- Maple Nut Brown Ale
Representatives from the brewery will be on hand from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to talk about what’s new at the brewery, discuss the beers listed above, and to just share a pint with their fans at the pub.
We will also be hosting Alabama’s newest brewing company, Beer Engineers, on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Beer Engineers just debuted at the Magic City Brewfest this past weekend and we are elated to be a part of their roll out this week. DB Irwin III, brewer and owner, will be bringing us some of his Velocity IPA to put on the tap wall and there will be a logo glass giveaway with each purchase of this brew (while supplies last). DB will be sticking around to discuss his new brewing company with the crowd and to also give away t-shirts, key chains, stickers, and other swag throughout the evening. It is sure to be a lot of fun, and we could not be more excited to welcome in another new, Alabama brewer to the pub.
To add a little spice to this event, between 4 p.m and 8 p.m. we will be doing a food pairing of wings with specialty sauces for both visiting breweries. These specialty, house sauces include George Dickel bourbon bacon, Sriracha chili lime, and spicy garlic teriyaki. These wings will be the perfect accompaniment to the Tommyknocker and Beer Engineers beers being poured at this event.
We hope you all come down on Wednesday to meet our old friends from Tommyknocker and some new ones from Beer Engineers. This event is sure to be an evening of good times filled with plenty of amazing brews and food. We cannot wait to see you then!
