Help Jerry Hartley Become the LLS Man of the Year

5 May 2015 No Comment

MWOY_440We are asking all of our friends and patrons for their support as our very own Jerry Hartley raises funds and awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in hopes of being named the organization’s Man of the Year!

Each year, in communities across the country, passionate candidates engage in an exciting competition to earn The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) “Man & Woman of the Year” titles by raising funds for LLS blood cancer research.  The candidates compete in honor of children who are local blood cancer survivors, the Boy & Girl of the Year.  Jerry has joined a team in this campaign, and you can help him in this mission by visiting his fundraising page to make a donation.  Each dollar donated counts as one vote and the titles are awarded to the man and woman with the most votes at the end of ten weeks.  Donations are completely tax deductible, and the funds raised go to support LLS research, patient services, advocacy, public and professional education, and community services.

Jerry is determined to earn the Man of the Year title, and he would like to do it in the name of craft beer.  To welcome the craft beer community into this wonderful fundraising effort, Jerry is currently working on some amazing craft beer opportunities and prizes that will be available to those that make a donation.  To start, those who make a donation through Jerry’s page will have a chance to enjoy a pour from the last keg of Canadian Breakfast Stout (CBS) in the state of Alabama.  Each dollar you donate equals one raffle ticket for a chance to purchase a pour of CBS.  At the end of the donation period, tickets will be drawn and the winners will join us for this special tapping!

Stay tuned for more details, but more importantly please consider making a donation on Jerry’s page.  This campaign has made an incredible impact by funding blood cancer advancements that have doubled, tripled, and in some cases quadrupled the survival rate for some blood cancers.  Together we can make a difference and get one step closer to a world without blood cancers!  Thanks in advance for your support!
