Harvest Roots Farm & Ferment Cask Event, September 22
Join us on Tuesday, September 22nd when we welcome the fantastic folks of Harvest Roots Farm & Ferment (Mentone, Alabama) to the pub for a very special Cask Event!
If you are not familiar with this great business, Harvest Roots Farm & Ferment is Alabama’s first wild fermentation company specializing in hand-crafted Ginger Beer and Kombucha. Through the use of fermentation as a low-energy process of preservation, Harvest Roots takes a surplus of locally sourced, foraged and/or gleaned fruits, vegetables and herbs to create nutrient dense fermented beverages that also provide plenty of medicinal benefits. The final product is a “chemical-free, great tasting, probiotic” fermented drink “you have that gut feeling about.”
We have been featuring Harvest Roots Farm Ginger Beer and Kombucha on draft at The J. Clyde for a few months now, and we are super excited to finally host them at the pub for an event to further educate you on this company and their wonderful products. For this special event, we will be featuring the following two offerings on cask:
- Wild Fermented Ginger Beer – Ingredients: wild yeast, organic Peruvian ginger, organic cane sugar, organic lemon, and filtered water
- Mountain Plum and Sage Kombucha – Ingredients: Organic oolong tea, organic cane sugar, kombucha scoby, filtered water, locally sourced plums and sage from Lookout Mountain
While you enjoy these tasty beverages, representatives from Harvest Roots will be on hand to talk with you about their business and wild fermentation. This event will also act as the premiere for the new Kickstarter video and campaign for Harvest Roots!
