Green Flash Beer Dinner with Brewmaster Chuck Silva on June 20th

Join us at the pub on Wednesday, June 20th at 6 p.m. for a very special beer dinner featuring Brewmaster Chuck Silva of Green Flash Brewing Company in San Diego, California.

Chuck Silva has been brewing with Green Flash since 2004 and has since created himself the reputation of being one of the most respected brewmasters in California by creating aggressive and distinctive ales that blur traditional guidelines.  His beers are the definition of the West Coast style of brewing, and we could not possibly be more excited to have him as a guest at this event.

This dinner will feature five courses of Green Flash offerings alongside gourmet dishes prepared by our very own Chef Adam Joiner.  Chef Joiner has created a summer themed menu where Southern culinary flair pairs beautifully with Southern California brewing tradition (full menu below).  Throughout the meal, we hope to learn a little about Green Flash Brewing and the beers featured in each course. We know that this dinner will be just as delicious as it is informative.

Cost of the dinner will be $53 before tax and gratuity.  Reservations are required and can be arranged by calling 205.939.1312, emailing info@jclyde.com, or by simply asking your server or bartender the next time you are at the pub.

First Course

Saison Diego

Pecan Smoked Trout Salad

Fresh peppered arugula, marinated red onions, and in-house made farmer’s cheese


Second Course

Linchpin White IPA

Chilled Watermelon Coulis

Pickled watermelon rind, diced cucumber, mango and cilantro


Third Course

West Coast IPA

Slow Smoked Pork Shanks

Smoked pork shanks glazed and grilled with West Coast teriyaki, brown sugar glaze. Served with pickled slaw and cornbread


Fourth Course

Rayon Vert Belgian-Style Pale Ale

A Classic Moules Frites

White wine and garlic steamed Prince Edward Island mussels with tomato and chili flake.  Served with truffled pomme frites. 


Fifth Course

Double Stout Black Ale

Green Flash Chocolate Stout Pie

Double Stout pie with Alabama clove honey in a graham cracker crust, topped with Bourbon infused whipped cream.
