Fairhope Brewing Company Meet & Greet Monday, November 11
Join us at the pub on Monday, November 11th when we host Fairhope Brewing Company for a meet & greet event where we will tap four of their delicious brews!
Until recently, you were hard pressed to find offerings from Fairhope Brewing Company outside of South Alabama because the brewery was getting established and focused on taking care of their local fans first and foremost. Well, time has passed, Fairhope has earned a reputation for being one of the brightest new stars in the Alabama craft beer scene, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them back to Birmingham!
For this special meet & greet event, Fairhope Brewing co-owner Gabe Harris will be hanging out with us at the pub and he’s bringing gifts. Four kegs to be exact, and that will make for the most Fairhope offerings we have poured at one time to date! Since their beers have been so scarce in this area, here are the brewery descriptions of all four beers that we will feature at this event:
- Everyday Ale – Fairhope Everyday Ale is made to pair with those gorgeous Eastern Shore days along the bay. Handcrafted with British Maris Otter malt and Kent Golding hops, this well-balanced English-inspired blonde ale packs a lot of flavor into a beer without a lot of alcohol. 3.8% ABV
- Fairhope 51 – Fairhope No. 51 is a classic American pale ale, brewed with a combination of American-made Falconer’s Flight hops and German hops. Named for being the 51st recipe entry into head brewer Dan’s beer notebook, this pale ale is packed with hop flavor but not overly bitter. Though this crisp, flavorful beer was 51 in Dan’s notebook, we expect it to be your top choice for a pale throughout Lower Alabama. 5.5% ABV
- Painted Black IPA – Painted Black IPA combines the dark-as-night color of a stout with the intense hop profile of an American IPA. Full of pine and citrus aromas and flavors, this brew is a reminder not to judge a beer by its color. 7.0% ABV
- Section Street Wheat – Section Street Wheat is a traditional German-style Hefeweissen brewed with organic pilsner and wheat malts and noble German and Czech hops. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, this straw-colored brew is cloudy when young and clears up with age. 5.0% ABV
During this event, we will of course have flights available of the four beers listed above, and each person that orders one will get a free Fairhope pint glass to take home (while supplies last). Gabe will be available throughout the event to discuss with you the beer in your hand and all the good news coming out of Fairhope.
Believe us when we say that you want to try these incredibly tasty beers from Fairhope Brewing Company, so come down to the pub and meet Gabe on Monday. We will have your flight waiting for you!
