End of the World Dinner on December 21

12 December 2012 No Comment

Word on the street is that the world is coming to an end on December 21st.  We do not know exactly what is going to go down on that day, but we can make sure that we provide our friends and patrons with a beer special worthy of any apocalypse.

All of this hoopla stems from those wacky Mayans inexplicably ending their calendar on December 21, 2012.  No one knows for sure if this means impending doom for mankind on that date or if they just misplaced their 2013 calendar.  Luckily, we at The J. Clyde are always prepared for situations just as these and we figured it was necessary to make sure our patrons are well taken care of if it will indeed be our last day on Earth.  For this special event we will be featuring 750ml bottles of Unibroue’s La Fin du Monde (which fittingly translates to “the end of the world”) for $0.21 when you order two entrees from our Seasonal Menu at regular price.  That is not a typo.  We are talking 21 cents, less than a quarter, cheaper than two bits, etc.  No reservations are necessary, but we do have a limited number of bottles available for this special.  It goes without saying that the earlier you get to the pub on December 21st the more likely you will be able to take advantage of this awesome deal.

We hope that you make The J. Clyde your end of the world destination, raise a glass of La Fin du Monde with us, and kiss it all goodbye in great company.   More importantly, we hope we survive so we can do it all again on December 22nd.  See you then!

Notes on La Fin du Monde:

Aftertaste – Pleasantly lingers on with a warm finish

ABV – 9.0%

IBU – 19
