We at The J. Clyde would love to be your college football headquarters this season, and we have a three-part plan to make that a reality.  First of all, we will be opening early on any Saturday when there is an Alabama, Auburn or UAB game being televised before our normal business hours.  Secondly, to ensure you are drinking nothing but the best craft beer during the game, we will be running a 1/2 price special on Alabama-brewed draught beer whenever an Alabama, Auburn or UAB game is in progress on our screens.  Finally, we will be serving up some of the best football snacks in the city.  Our college football snack menu reads as follows:

Smoked Wings – $8.25 per order.  Flavors:

  • Bama Wings – served with bourbon BBQ and Alabama white sauce
  • Tiger Wings – served with blue cheese and habanero sauce
  • Blazer Wings – served with honey mustard and hot green chili sauce

Duck Fat Popcorn – $4 per order

The above items will be served all day on Saturdays.  If we do open early for a game, we will be running a limited menu (the above items, pepperoni pizzas, and cheese pizzas) until normal kitchen/menu hours.

As an added bonus, we will be holding a season-long drawing for 2014 Iron Bowl tickets.  To enter, all you need to do is purchase an order of smoked wings or duck fat popcorn each Saturday you attend (1 drawing entry earned for each order purchased). The more orders you enjoy throughout the season, the better your odds are of winning.

For those keeping score at home, college football Saturday’s at the Clyde get you the state’s best college games, half off specials on Alabama craft beer, delicious grub, and the chance to win tickets to the Iron Bowl.  There really are no good excuses to miss this, so get your friends together and we’ll see you on Saturday!
