Coast to Coast Toast 4, November 13
Vanberg & DeWulf, the first company to specialize in importing Belgian beers to the US, established the Coast to Coast Toast (C2CT) three years ago to celebrate the beauty of Belgian beer and has since expanded to include “honorary Belgians” from independent family-run producers. The C2CT is now the single largest one-day celebration of specialty beer in the nation. Last year over 730 locations took part. The hosts numbered among the best specialty beer-centric bars, restaurants, and stores across the country.
We could not be more excited to participate in the C2CT again this year, and we have a great lineup of beers and grub planned for the event. To make sure that you have something incredibly tasty in your glass for the toast, we will be serving up the following hard-to-find brews as long as they last:
- Brasserie Dupont Posca Rustica, a Scottish Gruit
- Brasserie Dupont Triomfbier Vooruit, a Smoked Saison
- Ölvisholt Brugghús Lava, a Smoke Imperial Stout
To pair with the amazing beers above, we have also adjusted our weekly Thursday Special to match the C2CT theme but with a little Alabama flair. Check it out:
- Mussels Provençal – fresh Prince Edward Island mussels steamed in Fairhope Brewing Company’s Football Saison, minced shallots, and fresh local herbs
The C2CT has proven to be a great time at the pub each and every year that we have participated, and we do not plan on ending that streak anytime soon. Get your friends together and plan on being at the Clyde on Thursday to raise a glass with us for C2CT4!
