Monday, May 14th will officially kick off American Craft Beer Week (ACBW), a seven day celebration of all things craft beer.  Last year, all 50 states had official events throughout ACBW and this year should be no different.
You know The J. Clyde never passes up the chance to celebrate and promote craft beer in Birmingham, so we have a week’s worth of official ACBW events for you at the pub.  Check them out:

Well, it is that time of year again to start making your plans for the beer drinkers partying holiday that is Saint Patrick’s Day.  This year, we at The J. Clyde will be participating in Shamrockin’ in Five Points South, a six day celebration where Five Points area retailers, restaurants and bars rock in St. Patty’s Day with amazing specials and events.

If you are looking for a little taste of Mardi Gras here in Birmingham, join us at The J. Clyde on Fat Tuesday, February 21st.   For the occasion, we will be featuring a very special beer from Bayou Teche Biere and Mardi Gras themed menu specials.
Our Mardi Gras beer of choice will be Bayou Teche’s first seasonal release, Courir de Mardi Gras.  This brew is a Biere de Mars (or March Beer), a French Farmhouse-style ale, that Bayou Tech has brewed specifically for the pre-Lenten celebrations.  Courir de Mardi Gras …

We at The J. Clyde have been in a constant state of excitement ever since the news broke that San Diego’s award winning brewery, Green Flash Brewing Company, would begin distributing in our great state.  We are even more excited to inform you that we will be holding our pub’s largest brewery launch and tap takeover in honor of Green Flash’s arrival on Tuesday, February 22nd at 5pm!

Our great city of Birmingham is in the running for Southern Living’s Tastiest Town competition, so come out to join us at The J. Clyde on Thursday, January 19th for a voting party.

This week, Good People presents a Belgian IPA that should appeal to the hopheads and Belgafreaks.  The Belgian IPA is sort of a hybrid style that blends the malt and hops of a traditional IPA with a Belgian yeast that imparts a unique flavor to the ale.  The fourth ingredient – American water from Birmingham, Alabama!  We open early today at 12pm with a Father’s Day brunch (reservations only), but stop by early if you would like to try this unique beverage.  We’ll be open ’til 7pm for tornado relief.
