We at The J. Clyde believe that great beer goes perfectly with any occasion, and that especially goes for Valentine’s Day.  On February 14th at 5 pm, we will be serving an indulgent three course menu (full menu below) that is sure to impress your sweetheart.

Join us for yet another great beer dinner for a great cause. As you enjoy four courses of warm fall cuisine, paired with sour ales from Jolly Pumpkin, you can sweeten the sour with a nice donation in the form of a Target or Wal-Mart gift card ($10 minimum). Donations will benefit AIDS Alabama.

Once again, we participated in a 2010 campaign  with Sweetwater Brewery to support Black Warrior RIVERKEEPER.
The J. Clyde is hosting a beer dinner featuring Sweetwater beers as well! The J. Clyde will donate an additional $5 per beer dinner attendee.    This year, we will be serving three courses for $29, with a bonus beer reception starting at 5:45 PM!

Interested in meeting brewmasters from four different breweries?  Back Forty!  Great Divide!  Moylan’s!  Tommyknocker!  Plus, a carefully paired 6-course beer dinner?
Well, make a reservation for the Brewmasters’ Beer Dinner at The J. Clyde on Tuesday, 8 June beginning at 6pm!   This event is presented as part of Alabama Beer Week.
Tommyknocker Hop Strike! Black Rye IPA will be tapped prior to the dinner at 5:15.  It will be served with a gourmet cheese board where you can welcome the brewmasters to Alabama and talk beer with them.

We’re turning a beer dinner into an Alabama family cookout!  It will be summer soon; and we have plenty of Good People beer!  So, let’s get together for a casual dinner which pairs great drink with great food like Alabamians have been doing for a couple of hundred years!
Dinner starts at 6pm on Sunday, May 23rd at The J. Clyde.  All proceeds benefit Junior Achievement of Birmingham.  At 5pm, we’ll be potentially tapping a special Wild IPA from Good People.  Will inform you here if that doesn’t look likely.  Otherwise, it’s on!

You are looking at the Beer Garden at Bell’s Brewery in Michigan.  I’m certain it’s witnessed a fair share of snow. 
Unfortunately, the forecast is calling for snow early on Friday here in Birmingham, but it should clear up well before the dinner starts.  I am renting a couple of 80KW BTU tent heaters to supplement our patio heating.  These heaters will provide more heat near the floor which is a big benefit.  If weather becomes a really big issue that might cause problems for transportation, I’ll post more information here.

It’s almost here!  The Bell’s Beer Dinner is only two weeks away with special guest – straight from Bell’s Brewery – Larry Bell!  This beer dinner kicks off at 6pm, Friday February 12th.  This will also be our Valentine’s Day dinner so bring your most favorite special person in the world!
We’ll have a special firkin of Expedition Stout tapped for this dinner!

Please join The J. Clyde for the first post-”Gourmet Beer Law” Beer Dinner!  This dinner will feature Old Dominion Brewery based in Ashburn, Virginia.
