This is part 4 of a series of tastings that Danner and I have coordinated. Seating is limited and requires a credit card reservation. It’s really a great way to figure out which beers you like and which you don’t because there’s no packaging, no preconceptions, and no hype to prejudice you.
We’re doing this one at The J. Clyde on May 1st at 2pm. $19 gets you samples of ~10 DIPA. We’ll also have a selection of cheeses for the event to help your palate. It’s a Sunday, but there …

We are tapping a cask of Monkeynaut IPA on a very special Wednesday this week as part of Straight to Ale night!
Straight from their website:
“The beer: Albert. Able. Gordo. Miss Baker. Bonny. Goliath. Between 1948 and 1961 these primate pioneers and others bravely went where no man had ever gone before, paving the way for manned U.S. spaceflight. This hoppy little monkey of a beer is a tribute to those Simian heroes of yesteryear. It has a citrusy, floral hop aroma, a strong malt body and a crisp finish. ”

HISTORY from Rogue.com
Behind great beer there is a brewer, and behind great beef there is a bull. Fukutsuru (Fuku to his friends) is that bull. Ranked the top marbling bull in the U.S., Fuku is a Japanese Wagyu bull whose offspring produce premium grade American Kobe Beef that is served with St. Rogue Red. Over 50,000 units of Fuku’s pride is in the freezer for future breeding. In his final days, Fuku was given the opportunity to “socialize” with some fine, young cows. Instead, he chose to take a nap. …

“This copper-hued treat is a celebration of everything Great Divide does best. Plenty of malty sweetness provides a backdrop for earthy, floral English and American hops, while French and American oak round off the edges and provide a touch of vanilla. Thanks to everyone who’s supported us …
