Brews & Stews Returns for St. Patrick’s Day Weekend

1 March 2013 No Comment

We hope that you all can join us on Saturday, March 16th and Sunday, March 17th when we will extend our St. Patrick’s Day celebration to give you two days of Brews & Stews this year!

Brews & Stews is our annual St. Patrick’s Day event that celebrates the holiday with the finest Irish themed food and drink.  Since the Five Points South 29th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be taking place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16th, we will follow their lead and start the party early as well.  We will open at 11 a.m. on Saturday, and we would be more than elated to be your headquarters before, during and after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  The party on Saturday continues until 2 a.m., but it won’t stop there.  Things will kick back up on Sunday, March 17th because there is no way we could possibly be closed on the actual day of St. Pat’s.  We will open the doors at noon on Sunday and will close when the crowd clears out.

Now, on to the good stuff.  To cover the “Brews” portion of this event, we will have the following beer and Irish themed drink specials for both Saturday and Sunday:

Brew and Drink Specials

$5 - Avondale Brewing Company Spring Street Saison

$5 - Good People Coffee Oatmeal Stout

$4 - Moylan’s Brewery Dragoons Dry Irish Stout

$4 - Straight to Ale Rocket City Red Irish Red Ale

$5 – Bushmills shots

$7 - Irish Car Bombs

In addition to the above drink specials, we will of course have our full beer, wine, and cocktail menu available to insure you do your St. Patty’s Day correctly with your drink of choice.

As for the “Stews”, we will be serving a full, Irish themed menu that has a little J. Clyde flair for both days of this event (full menu below).  Since this special menu is pretty extensive and demanding, it will be the majority of our menu for the weekend.  Saturday’s menu will be the featured Brews & Stews menu along with a limited pub menu consisting of our hamburgers, The J. Clyde BLT, Black Bean Burger, House-made Hummus, and Fried Sauerkraut Balls.  Sunday’s menu will be limited to the featured Brews & Stews menu only.

St. Patrick’s Day always proves to be one of our favorite events of the year, and this year’s weekend long extravaganza should take things to another level.  We hope to see you at the pub on either Saturday or Sunday (or both) of Brews & Stews weekend to raise a glass with us in observance of good ole Saint Pat!  Sláinte!
