Great Divide? Alabama versus Auburn? Sort of!
Well, The J. Clyde will be showing the Alabama and Auburn games which both kickoff at 6:00pm on Saturday night. In addition to our state’s “great divide,” we will also be serving a really great Great Divide cask. We have a firkin of Great Divide’s 15th Anniversary Wood Aged Double IPA.
This is a fabulous cask ale. The beer is based on Great Divide’s award winning Denver Pale Ale which is an English-style Pale Ale. Great Divide obviously bumped up the malt and hops to create this DIPA and then took the extra step of aging it in French and American oak. A hint of vanilla carefully rounds out this delicious beer.
15th Anniversary, which is at 10.0% alcohol by volume and 90 International Bittering Units, will be available in 22-ounce bottles and on draft through August 1. We saved this firkin for as long we could! It’s called will power.
One of America’s great craft breweries, it’s still hard to believe that we can now have beers like this in Alabama. Just a mere three months ago, this beer was illegal. Just imagine that. Thank you Free the Hops!
So come early if you want to try this beer. It might be the last time it’s available unless you picked up some 22-ounce bombers SOMEWHERE OUTSIDE OF ALABAMA! Yes, Alabamians still have some hops to free.
Prost!
